Jun as a half-noyPi? That’s new~

I’m sure everyone of you already know this pricless new drama of Jun, and I’m so delayed in this one*bad, procrastinating fangirl*

Yes, our Jun-kun will be playing a half-Nipponjin(duh.) half-Filipino role in his new dorama SMILE together with Aragaki Yui. His name is Vito/Bito (whichever, we’ll just see when the drama starts) and Aragaki’s name is Hana who is a girl with some speech deffect something, I think? The dorama is about the smiles of the character that will uncover their dark, hidden pasts.

Sounds like a winner. But Jun/Vito/Bito’s Filipino otousan has long died so there’s really no connection at all, no? I hope Philippines will make a good impression on Jun and I pray, pray, pray that he’ll discover that there’s so much Arashi love going on here~ And I wonder…he’s gonna have a Filipino surname right? I mean he’s gonna carry the surname of his father even if he died already. Let’s just wait and see!

Can’t wait for April~!!!

Hi, Iam a Filipina. Hana Yori Dango was shown here last year. I think it was the first Japanese drama aired in the Philippines or Gokusen. I was not able to watch the series subbed at Tagalog. I asked my husband if he could buy me a Hana yori dango (korean version) but was surprised that the cd he bought is Japanese version. At first I was hesitant to watch it, I have never seen a series in Japanese, Most series shown here is Taiwanese and Korean. When I started to watch it because I need to kill time, (waiting for my laundry)… TARA!! I did not stopped. I watched it with 2 hours sleep and I wasnt able to go to office because I dont want to stop. The series is excellent. Story Plot. Actors. Songs. Props. Cinematography.. etc.. I hope there would be another. and I was looking foreward for more. Matsumoto Jun is a great actor, and a lot of Filipino were hoping he would visit us.

I really love the japanese version and the korean version. The character Makino is someone I can relate to. She is very shy and she tries to stay invisible at first. But, when she comes face-to-face with the F4, she becomes so assertive and stronger. If you haven’t seen the drama, you must go to http://www.mysoju.com to watch Hana Yori Dango, okay…

well… i’m a bit dissapointed about this dorama because there are a lot of criticisms about this dorama and surely a lot of people will criticize filiipinos (negatively; well they always do that stuff). i’m just saying this cause i’m a filipino and i think that japan and philippines has a connection cause philippines has been colonized by japan. japanese conquered philippines in a long time too. so there is a huge possibility that filipinos have a mixed blood of japanese. so there shouldn’t be any discriminations with the filipino people!.

I agree with what you said. I feel bad after watching the first episode because I didn’t know there’s a discrimination against filipinos in japan. I hope it will change in the future because of smile.
